Welcome to Simply Ercol Furniture. We are Sena and Sue, the "army of two" behind every beautifully revived piece that leaves our workshop. Operating out of the historic Royal Ordnance Depot in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire, we don’t just sell furniture—we rescue, restore, and preserve the legacy of exceptional British craftsmanship.

Our journey began back in 2002. Over the last two decades, we have honed a deep, technical understanding of wood, form, and finish. As former paid members of the prestigious Guild of Master Craftsmen, quality isn’t just a goal for us; it is our baseline.

Our Restoration Philosophy

We believe that a piece of furniture shouldn't just look beautiful on a website; it needs to be structurally sound, thoughtfully finished, and ready to stand the test of time in your home. We achieve this by staying true to a few uncompromising principles:

• Meticulous Sourcing: Every single item in our collection is personally selected by us. We look for high-quality vintage and antique pieces with great "bones." Starting with superior original craftsmanship ensures that our restoration work yields spectacular, long-lasting results.

• Premium Finishes: We never cut corners on materials. We use only the highest-grade stains, paints, finishes, and specialty waxes uniquely suited to the age and character of each individual piece.

• An Eye for Detail: Every sand, seal, and brushstroke is driven by intense care and pride. We treat every sideboard, chair, and dresser as if it were going into our own home.

 

Sharing the Craft

We don't believe in keeping our workshop secrets to ourselves. Because we are passionate about keeping the art of restoration alive, we proudly offer workshops on basic furniture restoration. Whether you want to tackle your very first upcycling project or learn how to properly maintain the heirloom pieces you already own, we are here to pass our tools and knowledge down to you.
